What is PitchTo and How Can Founders and Investors Use It?


Today I'm pleased to announce the public beta release of PitchTo. PitchTo is a dedicated platform for managing and rating founder pitches and provides a way for entrepreneurs to get feedback on their product or pitch.

While working with founders on their pitch deck either preparing for demo day or investor meetings I saw an ongoing theme. While in person feedback is great, founders would also like a better way to get feedback on their pitch from their network. Let the SXSW Voting Begin! You Should Start Here! #SXSW #SXSWi #SXSW2013

It’s that time of the year to vote on your favorite 2013 South by Southwest (sxsw) Interactive Festival Panel Topics.. This year SXSW reports there were over 3200 speaking proposals submitted. For newbies the voting process works this way:

  • Public voting only accounts for 30% of the decision-making process on your proposal.
  • SXSW Advisory Board (40%)
  • The input of the SXSW staff (30%).

Voting on SXSW panels ends Friday, August 31 (11:59 PM CST) and on October 15, the first batch of topics will be announced.

Going back to my startup weekend days, reading about Startup America and other conferences and groups trying to help launch the next big thing, I've been thinking about how to pitch a startup.
