I remember attending blogger meetups a few years ago and there were about four people in attendance. Now if you host a blogger meetup, you might have a few hundred people. The word blog which was originally was weblog was coined by Jorn Barger in 1997 and Peter Merholz shorten it just calling it Blog giving life to new online careers. Now we have thousands of “bloggers” online and to think at one point many people especailly in the main stream media didn’t value blogs or bloggers.
