Earlier this year something happen in the travel, lodging space. Marriott hotels launched a innovative social media and mobile campaign called #TravelBrilliantly
At its core Travel Brilliantly celebrates the global travel experience and unexpectedly shifts away from the idea that a hotel is just a hotel. By thinking beyond just the four walls of the hotel, Marriott can form stronger connections to its guests and play a bigger role in travelers’ journeys.
From culinary to design to technology, the new multi-channel campaign draws on the personal interests and values of the next generation guest, to create a visual that’s emblematic of the new Marriott experience. One of Marriott’s core strategies is to invite next generation travelers to help us shape what the future of travel should be by using elements of Marriott’s innovations (such as Great Room, Mobility, Food & Beverage, Meetings etc.) to inspire them to co-create this journey with us.
I think this is a brilliant move by Marriott, especially with this surgence of entrepreneurship across our country. By launching the #TravelBrilliantly campaign Marriott will not only play a role in empowering entrepreneurs but the community as a whole to provide resources for innovators, thought leaders, and the “work from anywhere” employees. Along with the campaign Marriott now provides a “Red Coat Direct” services mobile app, a workspace on demand where you can book a room for short meetings, Worksping an integrated space for longer meetings to go along with their upgraded mobile check-in app.
