This week on Talk Social News, we interviewed Phil Libin, CEO of Evernote, to talk about the past, present and future of Evernote. We also discussed the technology challenges of making a mobile application and Phill provides some advice for new startups. Even if you’re not an Evernote fan, I think you’ll enjoy what Phil has to say about what technology has impressed him, the mobile industry and where Evernote is going.

For our “What the Blog” section of the podcast, we review Mophie’s iPhone juice pack and why you may want to purchase one, even at half the price ($100.00) of the 8GB iPhone.
The “Fail of the week” is none other than Britney Spears on twitter, tweeting at @theRealBritney also know as Lauren from Britney’s PR team. We love Gary Vaynerchuk @Garyvee and he called her out on how she should use twitter. I wonder how long before we see a tweet saying “leave Britney alone” from Chris Crocker like the youtube video?
Some big news of the week is that both Qik and Brightkite are coming out with their iPhone applications. QIk has been available for jailbroken iPhone but per Kevin Rose it’s soon to be in the app store. Brighkite has teased the world yet again and posted a video of their upcoming iPhone app. Both have been a guest on Talk Social News, subscribe to the podcast via iTunes to list to past episodes.
Also we want to thank Sue Polinsky @SuePolinsky the organizer of ConvergeSouth conference in Greensboro, NC. We had a great time and looking forward to next year. See photos from the event via the flickr group here.
