Spotify USA Playlist from Kanye West Day on Twitter
If you’re one of the lucky Spotify USA beta users and a Kanye West fan, I created a play list of the songs from Kanye West day on Twitter. As I stated in the tools and tracks post Spotify was one of the apps that help me create the tweets. Also it looks like Kanye was wondering if Spotify was working in the U.S. yet. Not yet Kanye!
Does Spotify work in the U.S.?
Regardless here’s the Spotify USA Playlist from Kanye West Day on Twitter. The widget was provided by http://www.spotidj.com
If you’re using Spotify and have Spotify social enable, use the image below to find me if you want to share your tracks.
Are you looking forward to the Spotify USA release?

Video: The iPad Orchestra, classical music embraces tech
First there was the ipad + “Eye of the Tiger” music video preformed with the iPad and now we have the iPad Orchestra. The iPad Orchestra video features four musicians representing the Clarinet, Cello, Flute, and Violin which they are playing via the iPad and their awesome T-Shirts. They’re playing “Sweet Dream” performed live for an audience on August 20, 2010 composed by Ilya Plavunov. Take a look.
As I stated in the iPad Eye of the Tiger video post, how amazing it would be if artist could use the iPad to preform shows instead if traditional music equipment. Well, it seems like that time has come and we’re only seeing the beginning of the iPad + live performances. Actually before the iPad Eye of the Tiger there was the iPad DJ.
If you missed the ipad + “Eye of the Tiger” music video check it out below.
Thanks to Mike who sent me the iPad Orchestra video.
Would you rather see a live show with traditional music equipment or with the iPad or it doesn’t matter just as long as they sound awesome?

Video: i(Pad) of the Tiger: An iPad music video
When something is awesome you just have to post it right? Hat tip to Mike Schramm @mikeschramm of TUAW for posting the i(iPad) of the Tiger music video. According to the post we don’t know what apps the band used but those are three iPads being played in the video. Now we can say that Apple will kill music instruments! Joke! But still, think about how much equipment bands travel with and what if they could use a few iPads and have the same or better quality when preforming. Apple could change the offline music industry in an entire new way. Don’t believe me? Just watch the music Video: i(Pad) of the Tiger: An iPad music video below.

MTV's biggest dot: Could you fix Kanye West's personal brand problem? #VMA
So tonight MTV video music awards has gone all social media online and offline from iJustin pre-show hosting, a customize tweet all from Radian6, displaying both tweets and Facebook walls comments on their homepage MTV.com. But clearly the star stealer and news of the night is non other than Mr. Kanye West who embarrassed and insulted Taylor Swift after she won “Best Female Video” award.
If you’re not familar with Radian6 who’s created MTV’s tweet wall showing music artist, Radian6 provides the social media monitoring platform for marketing, communications and customer support professionals.
Now taking a look at the dot you can clearly see there have been a lot of tweets about Kanye’s rude behavor tonight at the VMA’s and I’m sure they are a lot of blog post about the situation too. If you’re using a social media monitoring platform such as Radian6 you would see a lot of negative content online right about now and the upcoming days. Kanye’s behavior isn’t new, from the President Bush remarks to previous MTV awards outburst but tonights incident clearly takes the cake and could be career threatening to such an artist the relies on the public to make money by selling music and performing.
So now what? Can Kanye’s personal brand overcome his latest outburst? If you were in charge of Kanye’s marketing what woud you do? Here’s a start list of a few options.
Fixing Kanye West
- A public apology to Taylor Swift online via YouTube
- Enforce a no drinking before attending an awards show rule
- Sit Kanye at least 5 rows back from the stage
- Create a song called I’m sorry Taylor
- Make video with Taylor Swift
- Take a 3 year break form the public spotlight.
- Stick to producing music
- Or you just wouldn’t was your time
Could you fix Kanye West personal brand problem? Is this the beginning of the downfall of Kanye West? Should MTV invite Kanye West ever again?
PS. Taylor Swift stay positive and continue to make great music.

Both services seems to target bands and artist who want to broadcast live and interact with fans on Facebook and Twitter. While I think this is a great idea and plug for both platforms including Facebook. My question is why host a live video on Facebook when you can host the event on your main website? But I do get the simplicity factor since bands, artist and people spend so much time on Facebook, so just add the ability to host a live video show directly from a fanpage. hmmm
Has anyone used either one of the services from within FaceBook and you’re not a in a band or a music artist? If so how was your experience?
