Podcast: Enchantment book interview with Guy Kawasaki

Last week I had the opportunity to interview former chief evangelist of Apple and co-founder of Alltop.com, Guy Kawasaki about his new book available today called Enchantment: The Art of Changing Hearts, Minds, and Actions.

About Enchantment:

Enchantment: The Art of Changing Hearts, Minds, and Actions is Guy’s tenth book. In it, he explains how to influence what people will do while maintaining the highest standards of ethics.

The book explains when and why enchantment is necessary and then the pillars of enchantment: likability, trustworthiness, and a great cause.

The next topics are launching, overcoming resistance, making enchantment endure, and using technology. There are even special chapters dedicated to enchanting your employees and your boss.

Finally, because there are times you may want to resist enchantment, there’s even a chapter about how to do this too

Featured in the January edition of Black Enterprise Magazine with 50Cent about TriOut & QR Codes

Happy New Year everyone! Here’s to having a successful 2011, and there’s nothing like starting off the year with a little media attention/press. A few months ago I was interviewed by Marcia Talbert (@newsgyrl), TechWatch Editor for Black Enterprise Magazine, about TriOut and QR Codes for the January edition with Curtis Jackson aka @50Cent on the cover. So… I’m not technically with 50Cent, just in the same magazine. Gotcha!

In the article I talked about how we built a QR Code reader into TriOut and how businesses can use TriOut and QR Codes to engage with their customers. Pick up a copy of the magazine to read the full article or download the Black Enterprise iPad app. [iTunes link].

Yesterday at the SAS Global Forum in Seattle Washington, SAS launched their SAS Social Media Analytics product along with other announcements on the company’s products and culture. The SAS Global Forum is the world’s largest gathering of SAS users, attended by more than 3,000 business and IT users of SAS software and solutions. During the forum I had chance to interview SAS’s CEO Dr. Jim Goodnight along with a other members of the press. Watch the interview below as Dr. Jim Goodnight discussed his thoughts on Cloud Computing, SAS’s new social media analytics product, handling data, the iPad and being named number one company to work for in the USA.

Social Networking Etiquette: The interview and questions. What would you do?

On Monday, I was interviewed by Fox News 8 ( Bob Buckly & Stewart Pittman @Lenslinger out of Greensboro, NC about Social Networking Etiquette. You can watch the entire interview and segment on social networking etiquette below.

We covered a lot of topics during the interview but Fox focused on a few questions.

1. What should you do if you’re boss want to add you as a friend on Facebook or any other social network?
2. Have you ever been dumped on myspace or any other social network?
3. What do you say when someone ask you, why are you tweeting or sharing your life using twitter or social networks?
