More African Americans are needed in technology

Diversity Technology

Just sad…

If TechAmerica, technology’s largest advocacy organization, would send a banquet invitation to all African-American CEOs of public technology companies, the International Business Times (IBTimes) said, the response would be so small that the tech organization would cancel the event.

Why is it that we need a particular race to be in technology, or any grouping for that matter? What difference would it make? An idea is an idea no matter who it comes from.

    Yeah, I believe ideas are
ideas; some are good and some are bad but the title of the article may be
over simplified, titles can tend to be that way.

The point is I believe is
that there are many ideas from members of many minor groups that never see the
light of day because they are outside of the mainstream supply-chain of
resources that could potentially give their ideas life.

What difference would it make?  Any ecosystem, marked by high degrees of
diversity, in nature is considered to be more healthy and sustainable that a
less diversified one.  I personally, believe that the same applies
    to technological ecosystems.

    There is so much untapped
potential and opportunity in America’s ethic space and to ignore these profiles
would be to miss out on these opportunities to excel as a nation.
