The best iPhone QR Code Reader Application is?

While looking at my analytics I notice a lot of people searching for the best iPhone QR Code Reader Application or one of the following QR iPhone app related terms:

  • qr code reader iphone
  • qr code generator app
  • qr code, iphone
  • qr code reader for iphone
  • QR iphone
  • iphone qr code reader
  • qr readers

Although I’m a little biased when it comes to what iPhone QR Code Reader to use as I would love for everyone to use TriOut to scan QR Codes but it’s a little more than just a QR Code Reader app. With that being said, in my opinion, the best iPhone QR Code application or apps is a close race between Optiscan – QR code scanner and generator and QuickMark QR Code Reader 4. Both apps are great with QuickMark with a slight edge over Optiscan due to additional features and linking to online profiles.

But if you’re looking for a location-based check-in app that works with Facebook Places, Foursquare, and Gowalla, that also includes a QR Code Reader, then give TriOut a … try!

Video: What’s on Oprah’s favorite things 2010 list? The iPad. This is better than any iPad app commercial

First Twitter had it’s Oprah moment, then Mark Zuckerberg made an appearance on the show and today, no it wasn’t Steve Jobs but the iPad. During the Oprah show today, the queen of all media announcing her favorite things 2010 list dropped down a floating iPad with what looked like either Victoria Secret wings or Angle wings, either way the iPad had wings! Before Oprah even announced that everyone in attendance was receiving a free iPad the crowd was going crazy! Steve Jobs couldn’t make a better iPad commercial if Apple tried. Take a look!

Oprah also stated how she plays her favorite game on the iPad, which is Scrabble and you can now read the O magazine on the iPad as well.

What do you think? Is this the best iPad commercial of all time that’s really not an iPad commercial?

Video: Real talk about influence, creativity and what it means to be an influencer

Hat tip to Dave McClure who ironically I’m influenced by for posting the short documentary video called INFLUENCERS on his blog.

The INFLUENCERS video is 13:56 long but it’s worth viewing. Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy.

INFLUENCERS is a short documentary that explores what it means to be an influencer and how trends and creativity become contagious today in music, fashion and entertainment.

The film attempts to understand the essence of influence, what makes a person influential without taking a statistical or metric approach.

Written and Directed by Paul Rojanathara and Davis Johnson, the film is a Polaroid snapshot of New York influential creatives (advertising, design, fashion and entertainment) who are shaping today’s pop culture.

“Influencers” belongs to the new generation of short films, webdocs, which combine the documentary style and the online experience.

I’m almost at the point to where I hate the words “influence” or “influencer” but after watching this video, I’m cool with it again just as long as we don’t see anymore find the “influencers” projects in the near future.

A few takeaways I got from the video was:

  • If you’re a startup or have a product you have to decide if you want to stay small and cool or go big and be liked by a lot of people
  • Looking at trends how brands embrace cultures
  • The concept of how brands are trying to reaching “influencers” online is out of control
  • Become a mentor

What are some of your takeaways from the video?
