I got 3 words for everyone who is complaining about the iPhone 4 if you own an iPhone 4

Apple iPhone

Just scan to the front page of Techmeme.com to see some of the news about the iPhone 4, Apple and lawsuits. Despite selling a record number of iPhone 4 mobile phones at launch problems about the iPhone 4 actually started coming in before the launch date ranging from yellow spots to bad cell service. I was one of the brave (some call fools) individuals who stood in line for an iPhone 4 and so far I have noticed the cell service is not as good as it was with the iPhone 3 Gs but it’s not terrible either. I did purchase a non bumper case a few days ago and I have seen no difference in cell phone performance.

Regardless of the iPhone 4 problems or not, the amount of blog post, tweets and news we’re seeing about the iPhone 4 is ridiculous. If there is a real problem with the latest iPhone I’m sure Apple will release a fix soon. In the mean time, there are people starving, an economy in trouble and some people creating some awesome products in the tech world that we could be blogging about and covering instead of complaining about the iPhone 4. Especially if you own an iPhone 4. Create your youtube videos, do your test, tell your friends that you’re having problems with your iPhone 4. But remember it was just last week and you’re under the 14 day window to return your iPhone and if you’re that unhappy about the iPhone 4 take your $199 and buy the HTC EVO or wait for the Droid X or just go back to your iPhone 3Gs if you havn’t sold it.

So please stop complaining about your new iPhone 4 or just Take It Back!
take it back

Actually, with the iPhone, AT&T and Apple give you a full 30 days to return the phone, with no charge. There's not even a restocking fee.

    Wayne,
Great post and points made, as always, coming from your perspective. As you stated, “Take It Back” is a great motto to stick by, but I also believe that holding a company responsible for their product is a responsible use of blogging.
In my opinion, the public noise in response to the iPhone 4 is stemming from the way in which Apple has handled the matter. Apple has responded to problems with their product by saying, “your holding it wrong?”, and, “our bars have been showing the wrong strength the whole time?”, and, “Buy a bumper for $30”.
Apple as a company has grown through its ability to listen to the consumer and respond with a solid product. Simply put, I think people who have been long-time Apple dedicated consumers are taken aback by the lack of response, ownership, and attention to the problems from the corporation.
People want to keep their new products (iPhone4), but at the same time, want to know that the problems they are experiencing will be addressed and fixed. A good corporation will want to have this conversation with their community.
Apple said the iPhone 4 has better reception than the iPhone 3g. They also said the battery life was stronger. I disagree this far in my user experience. And, I haven’t seen them delve into the proximity sensor issues as of yet.
When a company has placed a product into the consumer’s hands, I believe that company should meet expectations to a degree, and even more importantly, a response to complications. Preferably, before locking consumers into a contract with a phone that does not function for 2 years.
Personally, I have found the biggest anti-Iphone4 blog posts coming from individuals that have been long-term Apple enthusiasts, apple computer owners, and early adopters of the iPhone model. What these individuals want now is a response from Apple. As a consumer you would like to know you have a voice, and sometimes would like to vote with something other than your wallet.
I upgraded from the iphone 3g to the 4 just last week, and I feel I had a better functioning platform before I upgraded. Granted, with the iPhone4 I have awesome video capabilities, I can run multiple programs, blazing internet speeds, but have trouble getting reception to make a phone call.
As a loyal consumer, I want to know that Apple is on top of these problems, and working on a fix. Simply accepting the fact that their technology isn’t perfect, and still being tweaked, would keep me as an Apple customer through their growing pains.
