The social media report of #28daysofdiversity – blogs, press, hashtags & new series

28 Days of Diversity Featured Social Media

Sunday ended the 28 Days of Diversity Project, where I featured someone new everyday for the month of February for just being awesome in their own right. The list included some of the leaders in the social web space from startups, bloggers, conference organizers, IT professionals and friends not ranked in any particular order. Over the course of the month long project I monitored the social web for blog post, tweets and was even interviewed a few times about the project. I want to say thanks for the support to everyone who help share the project. Take a look at the one month social media report from the 28 Days of Diversity project below searching the web for “28 days of Diversity” and the hashtag #28daysofdiversity.

Hi Wayne. First off thanks for #28daysofdiversity it was a great experience for me. I’m just getting into this space and aren’t really used to seeing a lot of us. Following you and some other cats I’ve found other voices which is cool.

The added benefit is that your analytics demonstrate the benefits of social media and I’ve sent the link of this page to two clients and had them check out your post as well as the corresponding metrics. One of them left a message for me stating that as she looked through some of the actual post on your blog she was struck by how approachable and appropriate your post were. She ended in saying that she liked what she saw of your post, but also felt that it was something she could do. While I’ve been working on her presence her biggest apprehension has been what will she say. In all honesty everything I’ve seen of her writing is spot on for social media. It never occurred to me that there’s a such thing as stage fright even on Twitter.

One other thing. Ditto Mr. Pratt above. The #28days ofdiversity responsibility is yours here on out. It has given me some ideas marketing wise. The most prominent being that I would like to see #WSuttonMentions or #WayneMentions at least once a month where you bring someone to the fore as with #28daysofdiversity.

    Thanks again.
