#28DaysofDiversity: People of color impacting the social web. Day 6: Sonny Gill @sonnygill
As we all know, February is Black History Month. It’s a month where we honor those who have made an impact on American culture for equal rights, those who have invented, those who have a helped others and those who have inspired everyone to be the best they can be, not only as a person of color but as a human.
As someone in the technology/web/social space, I often travel and attend various events in the industry and notice a huge lack of diversity, and when it comes to getting attention from mainstream media/tech blogs it’s almost impossible. That’s why I’m starting 28 Days of Diversity on SocialWayne.com. The goal of 28 Days of Diversity is to feature someone new everyday for the month of February for just being awesome in their own right. The list will include some of leaders in the social web space, startups, bloggers, conference organizers, IT professionals and friends not ranked in any particular order. Each post will include a picture, bio, two links from the selected person and this paragraph. So for the next 28 days, come back to visit SocialWayne.com to see who’s on the list. For day six, I would like to introduce to some and present to others: Sonny Gill

Twitter: @sonnygill
Blog: www.sonnygill.com
Sonny is an experienced online marketer who has helped develop marketing strategies for large corporations, startups, and virtual companies ranging from the automotive to hospitality industries. Throughout his career, Sonny has always had a passion for the marketing world but has namely worked himself into the digital side through his dedication within the social media space.
He’s taken his career from launching, from the ground up, the social media arm for subsidiaries of COX Enterprises to his newest role in Higher Education as DeVry University’s Social Media Manager, which takes a truly holistic approach to social media and integrating it within all parts of the organization.
Sonny, who’s traveled from his hometown of Cleveland, to Virginia Beach, and back home again, now resides in Chicago, Illinois. He can be found actively engaging on Twitter, while continuing to produce content on his social media & community blog, www.sonnygill.com.
Come back tomorrow to see who’s next on the list.

without the attachments and agendas added on bills, things would be passed much more slowly. did you know they add in stuff that most congressmen dont agree with into bill at the last minute when no one has read it? cos most dont read the whole bill cos their like bibles! so when they pass a bill and realize something else was added and passed their like: wtf? i dont remember reading that. oops.
i hate the fact that the way we live everything has to be done yesterday!

No they couldnt stop him the french had the upper hand. It was back in 1756 or 1757 i believe. the story says there were about 100 "whitemen" there and it was a gang rape with 10 to 20 men. I know it was crueliest of human nature. and to have your family watch. it was horrible. the story is passed down as a lesson of sorts. its one of the darkest part of my family history.

Yes, I was aware of this. I consider myself well educated and informed, but I hate politics! I have no respect for the dishonesty and disregard that occurs. God bless those who are advocates for reform! Makes you wonder if things will ever change?

Thank you all for your support of this cause. We shot this in our Video Army offices in Venice and it was amazing how quickly and smoothly everything came together.
The Twilight community has been a huge boost to the exposure on this video and the cause.
Look for more content from the shoot coming soon!
